Who should get an Energy Audit?
All home owners who are Concerned with Efficiency, Comfort and having a Healthy Home. A home energy audit can help you Identify sources of comfort issues, save you money on energy bills, and even point out potential hazards such as gas leaks or carbon monoxide.
What is it? What will I learn from it?
An Energy audit is a whole synopsis of your home from tippy top (attic) to the very bottom (crawlspace or basement) of your home. Our auditors use special diagnostic tools to see and measure your air leakage. Included in the audit they do an infrared scan of your home and provide you with images of where the most problematic areas are. Auditors will also look at your furnace and water heater for safety and any potential problems. Energy audits are very in-depth and informative. The auditor will leave with all the information they need and will enter it into a software program, turn it all into a report that is easily understood. The auditor may meet with you again and go over findings and concerns you have, and how to go about any upgrades you may want to make to make your home more comfortable and efficient. The whole process is enjoyable, and you learn a lot!
